Council visit to the College of Business

The Council of the City University of Hong Kong visited the College of Business on 19th May. 

Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of CB, accompanied by the College’s Management Team, Prof Wenyu Dou, Associate Dean of CB (Graduate Programmes), Prof Julie Li, Associate Dean of CB (Undergraduate Programmes), Dr Mary Pang, Associate Dean of CB (Internationalization), Ms Hermia Chiu, College Secretary, and Department Heads of CB’s six academic departments welcomed Mr Herman Hu, BBS, JP, Council Chairman, Mr Vincent Chow, BBS, JP, Deputy Council Chairman, Ms Dilys Chau, External Council Member, Ms Lilian Chiang, External Council Member,  Mr Ho-wah Mak, Elected staff member on Council, and Mr Clovis Lau, Chairman of the Convocation, at the College Office at Academic 3.

 

 

Prof Yan discussed the College structure, programmes, and achievements in three important areas, namely academic, research, and students. He also introduced the College’s forthcoming projects and aspirations to the Council members followed by a tour to the new offices on 12/F, 13/F, and 14/F of AC3, visiting the CB General Office, MBA/EMBA/DBA lounge, and lecture theatres, meeting rooms, and teaching laboratories.

 

Two separate sharing session meetings with the College faculty, and student representatives of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, respectively, were held after the tour. The representatives took the chances to express their views and comments in varies academic areas. The comments and feedback were well received by the Council.

A luncheon with the University Management concluded the event.
