Establishment of the honorable members of Exchange Student Club

The Exchange Student Club (ESC) is a student organisation supported by the Internationalization Team of the College of Business. It aims to encourage interactions between international and local students, to promote the exchange culture in the College and to facilitate sharing of experiences among returned outbound students.

Nine CB alumni were nominated as the Honorable Members of the Exchange Student Club in January 2016 to recognise their active contributions to the development of the ESC. The honorable members are responsible in providing advice and guidance to the existing student members, and supporting in annual ESC events.

Jacky Cheung and Stetly Wong, two of the Honorable Members, showed their great support in the three sharing sessions hosted by the Exchange Student Club in last semester. Jacky and Stetly shared valuable exchange experiences and tips with current CB students, to prepare them for the upcoming exchange trip. The sessions attracted a large number of participants and received positive feedback from nearly 200 students.  

Jacky said, "I feel there is a bonding between me and the ESC. I am glad to connect with CB students as a role of ESC Honorable Member now. I hope my participation in the ESC, my prior exchange exposures, and my work experience can provide insights to the current ESC committee members, inbound and outbound exchange students."

"The experience in the ESC enriched my university life. I have made some good friends in the ESC, knew more about different cultures, and learned to see things with a global perspective," he said.
