Dr David Xu (Department of Information Systems) has demonstrated excellence in teaching, inspiring students to give their best and gain the most from their education. Underpinned by Confucius’ saying “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand”, he carefully structures the courses, explains concepts clearly, provides timely feedback and designs learning tasks to promote effective learning. His educational impact goes beyond his classroom teaching. He has made significant contribution to course development including bringing new programming language into CB’s undergraduate curriculum. As the major leader of BBA Information Management and first year IS students with undeclared major (BDIS), he applies himself to guiding students throughout their studies.
