The College of Business (CB) has acquired around 40,000 sq. ft. of new spaces on four floors at the new Academic 3 Building. Three Behavioural Laboratories have been set-up on the following floors. They are designed to facilitate teaching and research on human behaviors in business environments. The Behavioral Laboratories are located on the 10/F and 12/F at AC3. There are three types of room: Individual, Group and Cubicles.

  1. Individual (10/F): The Individual room houses 25 computers, separated by removable table partitions. An eye-tracking device is also available to measure eye positions and eye movement of participants. This room can easily accommodate a large number of participants in a single study session.

  2. Group (12/F): The furniture configuration of the Group room is flexible. Tables are removable such that researchers can design the room in a customized fashion for their teaching and research purposes (e.g., focus group discussion, interviewing, negotiation, or decision making). The Group room is equipped with cutting edge video-taping facilities that can record 4 different groups of people simultaneously.

  3. Cubicles (12/F): The Cubicles are professionally sound-proof, which is essential for research that requires high precision in behavioral, cognitive and physiological measurement (e.g., response time and skin conductance). They can also be used as break-out rooms for the Group room when teachers or researchers need to separate participants for individual activities in the midst of group interaction.

All laboratories are installed with advanced software such as DirectRT, Eye Tracker, MediaLab, and SONA.

The College of Business offers state-of-the-art learning, teaching and research facilities for the students and faculty members.
