The College of Business was honored to have Mr Bernard Chan Charnwut, GBS, JP as third guest speaker for the new MBA course FB6706 - Executive Discovery & Network, at a session held on 16th December.
Mr Chan is a Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China. He is also a member of the Executive Council, President of Asia Financial Holdings Ltd and Asia Insurance Co. Ltd., Chairman of Lingnan University and Vice-president of Oxfam Hong Kong.
In his talk Mr Chan described how he became a senior executive in the insurance sector and his involvement in public services. Amongst other things he emphasized the importance of a balanced life and reminded the audience to always have a positive attitude and the motivation to learn when dealing with challenges and uncertainties.
