A group of 18 students and staff from Sun Yat-sen Business School (SYSBS) visited CB on 21st January 2014. The visit strengthened the relationship between SYSBS and the College of Business.
The 14 undergraduate students and four teaching staffs, Prof Cai Can, Prof Chen Rong-rong, Prof Li Yuehan, and Prof Zhao Ling, of SYSBS went on a campus tour led by the CityU Mainland and External Affairs Office (MEAO) in the morning.
Prof Julie Li, Associate Dean of the Undergraduate programmes of the College, then gave an opening address commenting on the success of CB’s last visit to SYSBS in October 2013 and looking forward to the continuous collaboration between the two business schools.
The group sat-in a business Strategy & Policy class (CB 4303) taught by Dr Eddie Yu, Associate Professor of the Department of Management, before going to lunch at the CityU Chinese Restaurant, Shing Hin with Prof Julie Li, Mr Alex Tham, Assistant Dean of the College of Business, and Ms Veronica Li and Mr Wilson Liu, BBA Greeting Ambassadors.
BBA students, Anika Cheng Tsz-kwan, Gordon Leung Kong-sang, and Florence Lee Hoi-ling, CityU champion team members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Hong Kong Business Competition, shared their experience with the SYSBS students.
The visit ended with a joint student experience sharing session facilitated by CityU BBA students Jenny Cheung Oi-ting, Mak Wai-leung, Viann Chan Yan-tung, and Jim Yat-fung. CB internships and exchange opportunities were discussed during the Q&A session.
CB looks forward to further academic collaborations with the Sun Yat-sen Business School.
