The College of Business was honoured to have Mr James Thompson, GBS as the final guest speaker of this semester for the MBA course FB6706 - Executive Discovery & Network. The session was held at the MBA Lounge at Academic 3 on Monday 28th April.
Mr Thompson is the founder and chairman of Crown Worldwide Group and is also a member of the College International Advisory Board (CIAB).
Mr Thompson shared his years of experience in establishing and developing businesses. He also discussed some of the difficulties he had encountered during the process. With a strong portfolio in both the private business sector and community service sector, Mr Thompson reminded students of the responsibilities that come with being a company leader, including the relationship with the wider society. The sharing session was followed by a short Q&A section.
Mr Thompson was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star by the HKSAR Government in 2003, recognizing his distinguished service to the Hong Kong community. For Mr Thompson’s biography, please click here.
