The College organised a one-day retreat for CB’s postgraduate and executive programme academic faulty to exchange teaching experiences and ideas. The annual retreat aimed to enhance teaching quality and effectiveness of the College graduate programmes, i.e. DBA, EMBA, MBA, MSc, MA, and executive training. The event took place at Academic 3 on 26th August.
The retreat provides a platform for colleagues to exchange practices in executive teaching and stimulate discussion on how we can enhance executive teaching effectiveness,” said Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of the College, in the opening session.

During the sharing session, Prof Houmin Yan, Prof Xijia Su, Prof Wenyu Dou and Prof Kai Lim, Professor of the Department of Information Systems of CityU discussed the latest trends in graduate education development worldwide.
Prof Yan shared his thoughts on strengthening teaching quality:
“I would encourage our faulty to communicate more with their executive students and visit companies to gain market updates and strengthen their industry network. As a business school professor, merely publishing papers and journals is insufficient. We also have to extend our horizons to learning new and innovative ideas from our students and counterparts.”
