BScCFIN & BBAGBU Japan study tour
A group of 14 students from the BSc Computational Finance and BBA Global Business Programmes took a study tour in Tokyo from 21th to 26th May.
The students visited two universities, Waseda University and Keio University, with campus tours. They got a chance to explore the Japanese culture through interaction with local students. Also, they attended a mini lecture on “Intercultural Understanding” at Keio University.
The group visited a number of organizations and companies. With the focus on learning the financial market in Japan, the students went to the Bank of Japan and Tokyo Stock Exchange, to understand their roles and functions. Besides, they visited the Nissan Auto Yokohama Factory Exhibition Hall, and three green companies focusing on different recycling products, namely:

Recycling metal

Recycling paper and plastic, and generating electricity by solar power

Incinerating and generating electricity through incineration
In order to deepen students’ understanding of Japan, they were offered with some cultural and sightseeing activities, including visits to Mitsubishi Museum, Asakusa Kannon Temple and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatories.
