As part of the International Residency in Hong Kong and China, the programme was co-organised by the College’s Executive Education unit.

Professor Wayne Yu, Assistant Dean (Executive Education), and Dr Yanni Yan, Director of Executive Development (International Programmes) of the College, kicked start the class with a warm welcome. “People always think Chinese culture and system are very different from the Western one, but they are actually quite the same. Hope you can learn more about China and Hong Kong in this trip, and at the same time see the similarities from the differences,” said Professor Yu.

The programme was well-structured with lectures delivered by faculty members including Professor Brian Boyd, Professor Wayne Yu and Dr James Wang. Students learnt the foundational knowledge on Chinese Business Management from different perspectives, and how Hong Kong takes the financial and logistics intermediation role between China and the rest of the world. Apart from a series of lectures, company visit to UniCredit Bank AG and guest sharing sessions were arranged.
