The College of Business (CB) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is positioned 27th in the world and 1st in the Asia-Pacific region in 2019, according to the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Top 100 Business School Research Rankings™. In terms of the 5-year period (2015-2019), CityU CB is ranked 36th.
The rankings analyse faculty’s research contribution in 24 leading business journals and measure the strength and productivity of research effort of a business school. In the 2019 rankings, CityU CB is close to the University of Chicago (21st), and the University of Maryland at College Park (23rd).
Professor Yan Houmin, Acting Dean of the College of Business, said “I have to thank our faculty and staff members for their tremendous contribution in making the College of Business one of the premier business schools in the region. With our concerted effort, I believe we can further benefit our students, stakeholders, and the wider community.”
The college has recently been re-accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), whilst the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme has reached a new milestone by entering the top-100 of the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2020.
“Our colleagues have also published in a number of very influential non-UTD outlets in recent years, such as Economitrica, the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society (Series B), Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, etc.” Professor Yan added.
