College of Business Dongguan Retreat
The College of Business organised a retreat at the CityU Dongguan Campus on 17 - 18 June 2024. Led by Dean Kalok Chan, some 30 faculty members including associate deans, department heads, and programme leaders, gathered to review the College’s latest development, preparation for Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), and strategies for programme development and international collaboration. Faculty members also discussed the issues surrounding curriculum innovation and technology integration in education.
CB faculty visited the Dongguan campus on the second day for a campus tour and met with the Dongguan Campus senior management team, including Executive President Chun Lu and Vice President Julie Li, to discuss potential programme collaborations.
Dean Chan expressed excitement about the new opportunities presented by the Dongguan Campus, saying, “It is fascinating to witness the remarkable pace at which the Dongguan campus has developed, with its first cohort of students commencing their studies this September. Looking ahead, we see a horizon filled with vast opportunities for collaboration with the Dongguan campus."
