CB Alumni Homecoming 2024
City University of Hong Kong hosted its “CityUHK Alumni Homecoming” on 2 November, welcoming alumni, faculty members, and other University community members. The event featured more than 40 activities organised by various departments and units across the University. The College of Business participated in the Homecoming with its exhibition booth and alumni reception. Among the highlights was a sharing session organised by the College of Business, featuring EMBA alumnus Mr Anthony Lam, Group CEO and Vice-Chairman of Golden Resources Development International Limited, which bought together over 80 alumni for a day filled with fun and cherished memories.

The sharing session began with welcoming remarks from Professor Kalok Chan, Dean of the College of Business, who expressed his delight in reuniting with the CB alumni family. He shared CB’s latest achievements and emphasised the importance of engaging with one another, rekindling old friendships, and forging new connections. He said, “This gathering is not just a celebration of our past but also a fantastic opportunity to reconnect and strengthen our community.”
Following the Dean’s welcoming remarks, Mr Anthony Lam, Group CEO of Golden Resources Development International Ltd and a CB EMBA alumnus, participated in a dialogue with Professor Michael Wong, Associate Dean (Global Executive Programmes) and Global EMBA Programme Director, to explore the exciting potential of Laos and Vietnam as emerging markets for business expansion. Mr Lam shared insights and experiences from his convenience store business operations in Vietnam and engaged in thoughtful discussions with alumni.

After the sharing session, alumni enjoyed the refreshment and joyful atmosphere of reconnecting with one another. As the event drew to a close, participants expressed their appreciation for the reunion and eagerly anticipated attending future alumni events.
