College of Business collaborates with Asia CEO Community
The College of Business’s Global EMBA and MBA programmes jointly sponsored two business talks, “Business Leaders in ASIA - Technology: Opportunities and Risks” and “Unlocking Enterprise Potential: How to Bridge Gaps in Your IT Ecosystem to Thrive” under the Asia CEO Community in November. These events emphasised the vital intersection of technology and business leadership.
The first talk, “Business Leaders in ASIA - Technology: Opportunities and Risks”, was held on 8 November 2024. Moderated by Professor Kalok Chan, Dean of the College of Business, the talk featured Ms Piony Leung, CEO at Café de Coral Holdings Limited, Ar. Donald Choi Wun-hing, JP, Executive Director and CEO of Chinachem Group, Mr Nelson Choi, Group CEO at G2000, Mr Mark Arel, Head of AWS Professional Services Hong Kong, Mr Girish Jhunjhnuwala, Founder and Executive Chairman of Ovolo Hotels, as panel speakers. This event facilitated an in-depth discussion on the opportunities and risks posed by emerging technologies in the Asian business landscape, fostering a collaborative environment among leaders from diverse sectors.

Another business talk was held on 14 November 2024, focusing on IT solutions for enterprise growth. Entitled “Unlocking Enterprise Potential: How to Bridge Gaps in Your IT Ecosystem to Thrive”, this event featured Professor Michael Wong, Associate Dean (Global Executive Programmes) of the College of Business, as the moderator. Panelists included Professor Zhang, Professor of Management at Peking University HSBC Business School, Mr Ernest Lin, General Manager at Kyndryl Hong Kong and Mr Chris Chan, Partner at ZB Capital and COO at Zubbily Asia. The discussion highlighted the importance of bridging gaps within IT ecosystems to enhance business resilience and adaptability in international markets.
