CB Exchange Fair 2024
The College of Business hosted its Exchange Fair on 6 November 2024 at the CityUHK campus. Sponsored by the Student-initiated Projects (SIP) funding scheme approved by the Global Engagement Office, the fair was designed to showcase the diverse exchange programmes available to students, featuring an array of interactive booths and student sharing.
The fair featured a range of activities designed to give students insight into the exchange programmes and to equip them with the necessary information for studying abroad. These activities included informative sessions on English language proficiency exams, specifically IELTS and TOEFL, as well as interactive booths that encouraged cultural exchange.
A highlight of the event was a series of presentations delivered by students who had previously participated in the exchange programmes. Wendy Law, a BBA Marketing student, shared her experiences studying in Singapore, focusing on themes of cross-cultural learning and personal growth, which provided valuable insights to the audience.
Additionally, Idil Dokutan, an inbound exchange student from the University of Bath in the UK, captivated attendees with stories about her home country and her experiences studying in Hong Kong. Her account fostered a deeper appreciation for diverse global perspectives among participants.
The Exchange Fair served as a platform for promoting international exchange opportunities and a catalyst for fostering cultural appreciation and intercultural dialogue. Through storytelling, interactive activities, and shared experiences, the event underscored the importance of cross-cultural learning and embracing diversity in our interconnected world.
