The College of Business (CB) at the City University of Hong Kong is pleased to achieve the accreditation extension for another five years by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Professor Kalok Chan shared the exciting news, “This is a significant contribution to CB’s international profile. I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all advisory board and committee members, faculty, staff, students, and alumni for your hard work and commitment during the AACSB Peer Review Team’s visit in November 2024. Your dedication made this achievement possible.”

The AACSB accreditation is a mark of excellence, affirming that the College meets the highest standards of educational quality and rigour. The feedback from the AACSB Peer Review Team was overwhelmingly positive, particularly commending CB’s focus on fostering a collegial work environment that supports innovative academic endeavours. They highlighted CB’s strengths in research, business education, thought leadership, internationalisation, and collaborative initiatives with prestigious universities through double and joint degree programmes. CB has been AACSB accredited since 2005 and has successfully maintained its accreditation every five years.

Founded in 1916, the US-based AACSB is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools. It employs a rigorous accreditation process that evaluates the entire business school, including its research activities and the educational impact of its business programmes on society.

The College of Business also holds accreditation from the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
