College of Business Undergraduates explore dynamic enterprises in Guangzhou
From 14 to 16 May 2025, the College of Business, in partnership with the Youth of Guangzhou and the Hong Kong Association (YGH), hosted a three-day discovery tour for 32 undergraduate students focused on China's enterprises and innovation.
The journey began with a visit to the China Import and Export Fair Complex, one of the world's largest exhibition centres, where students learned about global trade. They also toured the Yuexiu Financial Tower and SHEIN, a leading fast-fashion e-commerce company, gaining insights into the modern textile industry and e-commerce integration.

At EHang, a pioneer in urban air mobility, students explored drone technology and even operated small drones, enhancing their understanding of innovative business practices. The tour concluded at the Guangdong Nansha Legislative Contact Point, showcasing the region's legislative advancements.
Students reflected on their experiences, highlighting the tour's impact on their learning. Kevin Lee Chi-shing, a BBA Management student, said, “This discovery tour deepened my understanding of Guangzhou’s culture and the blend of tradition with modernity. Operating a drone firsthand was exhilarating and sparked my excitement for future technological advancements.
