Biography
Dr Joseph Siu-Lung KONG completed his BBA, MPhil, and PhD in Information Systems at the City University of Hong Kong, where he was recognised with the IS BBA Contribution Award 2020 and the Department of Information Systems Outstanding Alumni Award 2024. His teaching and research encompassed areas including creative learning, emerging technologies, video games, and, out of personal spiritual growth, esotericism. Joseph was one of the top racing eSport athletes in Hong Kong before commencing his academic career, specialising in the “Gran Turismo” series. He founded the Department of Information Systems Fortitude Award at his alma mater in 2019 and was admitted as a member of the CityU Foundation in 2020. Seat #F26 at the CityU Wong Cheung Lo Hui Yuet Hall was named in his honour. He owns the registered trademark “Joseph Kong” in Hong Kong and is a Full Member (MHKCS) of the Hong Kong Computer Society. He also cultivates a passion for perfumery appreciation, with a personal collection of over 80 items, including many rare and limited editions.
