Biography
Dr. Zhou joined the Department of Information Systems at the City University of Hong Kong as an assistant professor in 2021. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from Boston University and B.A. in Financial Management from Peking University. His research focuses on platform strategy and design, platform regulation, and innovation & entrepreneurship in the digital economy.
He used to work in China’s Ministry of Finance and participated in the design of many economic policies, including corporate innovation policies, financial policies to support SMEs, and policies of SOE development. He has a deep understanding of how China’s system works and how digital platforms can support Chinese path to modernization.
