Programme Aims and Objectives
This programme aims to educate and train the digital managers and professionals of the future to understand the opportunity, principles and impact of digital transformation and technological innovation in organizations. The programme does not assume that students have prior knowledge in these areas, but a background in information systems, business or organization studies will be an advantage. The programme incorporates a special focus on, and the potential for, strategic advantage that digital transformation and technological innovation can bring.
Entrance Requirements
Applicants should satisfy all of the following to be eligible for admission:
- hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or management related subject from a UGC-funded tertiary education institution in Hong Kong, or an equivalent institution overseas;
- have gained a basic level of computer literacy; and
- preferably have two or more years of working experience.
Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is NOT English should also fulfill the following minimum English proficiency requirement:
- 79 (Internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)@#; or
- an overall band score of 6.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS)@; or
- a score 450 in the new College English Test (CET6) of Chinese mainland; or
- other equivalent qualifications.
@TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years. Applicants are required to provide their English test results obtained within the two years preceding the commencement of the University's application period.
# Applicants are required to arrange with the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to send their TOEFL results directly to the University. The TOEFL institution code for CityUHK is 3401.
